As a Carpenter you'll bring your advanced skills to restoration and rebuild projects that make a real difference for customers. You'll take on complex repairs, guide your crew, and help deliver exceptional results that meet both quality and safety standards every time.
ADAY IN THE LIFE OF A CARPENTER
As a Carpenter, you take ownership of the work from start to finish. You'll plan your day, review blueprints, and tackle a mix of hands‑on carpentry that may include framing, drywall, flooring, siding, roofing, and fine finishing. You'll make sure every measurement, cut, and installation meets the highest standard of precision and safety. You'll work closely with Project Managers and guide other skilled trades to keep projects running smoothly.
Some days you'll be transforming a fire-damaged home; other days, you'll be restoring commercial spaces to full operation. Every project showcases your craftsmanship, teamwork, and ability to problem‑solve with confidence and skill.
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry or construction experience in restoration or a related industry
- Journeyperson certification in carpentry preferred
- Advanced knowledge of framing, finishing, drywall, flooring, roofing, siding, and cabinetry installation
- Proven ability to read blueprints, apply construction math, and plan material needs accurately
- Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools with strong attention to quality and detail
- Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, safety practices, and cost awareness
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to support and guide others
- Proficient in using mobile devices and Microsoft Office applications
- Valid full class driver's license and clear driver's abstract depending
- Fit test and other safety certifications
- Must be able to work overtime, on weekends and participate in rotating on‑call schedule
- Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
