Advantage Personnel is seeking a detail-driven Technical Inspector to join our client's growing team in Dartmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mindset who takes pride in precision, consistency, and compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring materials, components, and assemblies meet strict technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect incoming and in-process materials to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and purchase orders
- Perform physical measurements, visual inspections, and review inspection and test documentation
- Conduct supplier-site inspections when required
- Operate and maintain quality management systems
- Perform basic electrical and mechanical testing to verify product conformity Inspect PWBs and electronic assemblies to defined workmanship standards
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Sort, rework, and document non-conforming or rejected parts
- Maintain detailed inspection records and report deficiencies using standard operating procedures
- Manage calibration recall systems, including calibration of tools, gauges, and equipment
- Grade 12 completion plus a recognized technician/technologist diploma or trade certification
- Proven attention to detail with a strong, professional work ethic
- Solid understanding of quality assurance practices and standards
- Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement tools
- Familiarity with industry standards for PWBs, electronic assemblies, and machined or fabricated components
- WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable using basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, databases, word processing)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
