SalaryThe salary scale for NSCC Faculty ranges from $78,771.88 to $. New Faculty may receive up to a maximum of five steps for relevant occupational experience and up to an additional four steps for full‑time equivalent years of instructional experience. The maximum a new Faculty can expect to receive is nine steps or $97,388.02.

- Provide theoretical and practical instruction in the Auto Body and Collision Technician Apprenticeship program.
- Collaboratively design and deliver educational experiences for a diverse group of learners, including preparation, instruction, assessment, and evaluation of students using learning management systems and classroom technology.
- Ensure health and safety practices and procedures are followed in classroom, shops, and labs.
- Maintain currency with latest industry practices relevant to the program and continually develop understanding of 21st‑century teaching and learning practices. The position may involve in‑class, online, blended, off‑site instruction and alternate work hours such as weekends and evenings.
- Participate in academic and career advisement, committee work, program marketing, curriculum revision and development, work placement monitoring, liaison with business and industry, and represent the College as required, upholding NSCC policies and procedures.
- Current Inter‑Provincial Journeyperson status as an Auto Body and Collision Technician.
- Minimum of five years (full‑time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in the auto body collision and repair industry.
- Specific technical knowledge in auto‑body repair and refinishing.
- Experience liaising with business and industry in the field.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, email and industry diagnostic software applications.
- Comfortable working in a digital environment and committed to using technology to support an exceptional student experience, including multimedia technologies and various platforms for online and blended learning.
- Related experience in delivery of educational programs or training to adults is desirable.
- Experience providing performance feedback is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience in applying WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety and occupation‑specific safety practices.
- Ability to teach effectively in an online/blended environment, including building knowledge of best practices for course delivery and management, and fostering a collaborative online learning community. Candidates without previous online/blended teaching experience must be open to training.

As a condition of employment, Faculty at NSCC must complete a part‑time adult education program delivered by NSCC. The program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC. All probationary, full or part‑time Faculty must successfully complete the program within the probationary period. Term full‑time Faculty whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate.
Successful candidates will be expected to provide at least three recent occupational references and official transcripts to show proof of academic achievements.
