Practice Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Nurse tojoin our team at Dartmouth Medical Practice. This is a permanent position for 22‑30 hours per week. We are a friendly and forward‑thinking practice locatedin beautiful South Hams. We are excited to be recruiting for a Practice Nurse to support our dedicated, well‑established clinical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to and help shapea progressive practice with a strong focus on teamwork, innovation and patient‑centred care.

Main duties of the jobKey Responsibilities
Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension, cardiovascular disease)
Cervical cytology
Childhood and adult immunisations
Travel vaccinations (where appropriate)
Wound care and dressings
Health promotion and screening
Medication reviews and prescribing (for qualified Nurse Prescribers)

We are a 5‑partner GP practice with 2 Associate Partners, delivering high‑quality primary care within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.

Job responsibilitiesWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude to improving health outcomes for our patients. Your responsibilities will include.
The Practice Nurse will:
Wound care and dressings
Cervical cytology
Childhood and adult immunisations
Travel health advice and vaccinations
ECGs
Blood pressure monitoring
NHS Health Checks
Undertake chronic disease management (as appropriate to competency), including:
Diabetes
Asthma
COPD
CHD
Provide contraceptive advice and sexual health services (with training)
Support screening programmes (e.g. cervical, bowel, NHS Health Checks)
Participate in infection prevention and control measures
Undertake home visits when clinically appropriate
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records in line with professional standards
Person Specification Qualifications- NMC Registration

- Experience of working in primary care
