Transport Administrator

Location:

Dartford
Salary: £28,750 working Monday - Friday 9am-6pm

Summary:

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to support the daily operations of our transport department. This role is key to ensuring smooth communication between drivers, the transport team, and internal departments while maintaining accurate records and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a key point of contact between drivers, planners, and warehouse teams
Communicate route changes, delays, or operational updates promptly
Escalate operational issues when necessary and support problem resolution
Maintain professional and clear communication across the transport team
Previous administrative experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution environment preferred
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation
Confident using computer systems and transport management software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Skills/

Experience:

Strong transport industry knowledge and experience.
Previous experience in a transport, dealing with drivers.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills when working with drivers and operational teams.
Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
