• Contract Type: Permanent, 40 hours per week
• Location: DPD Dartford, Unit 21, Fawkes Avenue, Questor Industrial Estate, Dartford, DA1 1JQ
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
• Hours of Work: 09:00 – 18:00
• Salary: £17.61ph, overtime paid at enhanced rate

• As a 7.5 Tonne Collection and Delivery driver for DPD, you will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering excellent service during parcel collection and delivery.
• Ensure timely and accurate collection and delivery of parcels according to scheduled routes.
• Assist with loading and unloading parcels at the depot and customer locations.
• Manage a daily schedule of approximately 50–60 stops in your designated area.
• Utilise provided equipment, such as a sack barrow/hand truck, to safely handle heavier items.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections and any issues encountered during your shift.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and company policies whilst operating the 7.5 tonne vehicle.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Utilise handheld devices and company software to update delivery statuses and communicate with the depot.
• Resolve customer queries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Adapt to changing weather conditions and adjust your delivery approach accordingly.
• Collaborate with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and workload distribution.
• Maintain a clean and presentable appearance as a representative of DPD to customers.

Essential:

• A valid 7.5T (C1) licence, DQC (Driver Qualification Card) and CPC accreditation
• A clean driving record with no more than 3 penalty points
• At least 1 year of experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles or similar
