Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to and promote SHEQ group standards.
  • Achieve optimum, yet safe productivity levels with designated workload.
  • Ensure all transactional elements of the role are managed effectively, such as breakdowns, services, PDI’s, determining damage, and timesheets.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Provide safety observations for any unsafe practice in the depot or on a customer site.
  • Ensure overdue servicing is kept below 6% of total fleet in your designated area.
  • Maintain all training and competencies updated via the PDP skills matrix.
  • Provide support outside normal job role as and when required for the Depot and Service Manager.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is kept in good condition and stocked with appropriate tools, oils, consumables and safety equipment.
  • Seek time to self‑develop (relevant to role) via training platforms, online learning hubs and structured training sessions.
  • Provide support for colleagues as and when required and/or when you deem necessary.
  • Ensure depot and engineering standards.
Essential Credentials & Qualifications
  • Skills and experience in mechanical or electrical disciplines relevant to the scope of equipment involved in the role.
  • Adequate skills for performing competent maintenance routines, whether in field service or depot‑based roles.
  • In‑depth skills for competent fault diagnosis, dismantling, repair and testing of the defined equipment type for repair roles.
  • Experience working with generator engines – essential.
  • Hold a C and G, NVQ, or other recognized professional or vocational qualifications in the relevant technical discipline (desired).
  • In‑depth experience in multiple technical disciplines, such as mechanical and electrical (essential).
  • Hands‑on experience in service, maintenance, installation and repair of diesel‑driven generators (essential).
  • Clean, tidy appearance and full driving licence – essential.
  • Practical knowledge of service, maintenance, installation and repair of diesel‑driven generators.
