Dartford, Kent | £53,000 per annum + Overtime | 12-Hour Day/Night Shifts | 4-Week Rolling Rota

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Shift Technician to join a well-established and growing operation based in Dartford, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer looking for long-term stability, competitive pay, and genuine career progression.

Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical plant and equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably.

This is a 12-hour shift pattern (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am) operating on a structured 4-week rolling rota:

• 3 on, 3 off
• 2 on, 2 off
• 3 on, 4 off
• 3 on, 2 off
• 3 on, 4 off

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding to breakdowns and fault finding on mechanical systems
• Repair and overhaul of pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and associated equipment
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Experience working within an industrial, manufacturing, or process environment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a shift team
• Proactive and safety-focused approach

• £53,000 basic salary
