We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Erith
, working Monday to Friday on a 40-hour contract
, and playing a key role in keeping our hire equipment safe, reliable, and ready for customers.

• Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out repairs on hire equipment.
• Working on equipment operating at 110v and above, ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards.
• Assembling, testing, and preparing equipment ready for rehire.
• Prioritising repairs effectively to minimise downtime and support depot schedules.
• Accurately completing service records and updating systems using Microsoft Office and internal platforms.
• Working closely with colleagues to support a safe, efficient, and well‑organised workshop.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
• Supporting Speedy’s ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver, through safe and responsible working practices.

• Previous experience working on 110v phase equipment and above, ideally within the hire industry or a similar engineering environment.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• A positive, proactive approach and a commitment to quality and safety.
