A large wholesaler in food is now looking for a General Manager in Distribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize the weekly, monthly, and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, and ensuring effective operational performance.
  • Manage a diverse team to fulfill business requirements and prioritize effectively to meet customer targets and volumes.
  • Integrate new working patterns to effect continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate effective communication with employees, Trade Unions, and the customer base.
  • Maintain an ability to react to changes in volumes as outlined by the customer master schedule.
  • Ensure that the P & L data is controlled to the expected level as deemed by the contract with the customer.
  • Contribute to the broader commercial environment, taking responsibility for attracting new and additional business.

    • Qualifications:

  • Graduate caliber.
  • 5 years experience in a logistics management role.
  • Minimum 3 years logistics experience.
  • Experienced Change Manager (At least 1 Major Project Delivered).
  • IT literate.
  • CPC required.

  • Finance/Profit & Loss Management.

  • Commercial Acumen.
  • Negotiating and Contracting.
