Equans is looking for a Cleaner and Handyperson to join our team working in Dartford County Court, Home Gardens, Dartford DA1 1DX
on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £27,500.00 - £28,500.00 per annum and benefits package.
Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
What you will deliverThe primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive tasks on a wide variety of surfaces, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and Equans processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.
- Mobile Cleaning, ‘business as usual’ cleaning to cover holiday/sickness.
- Respond to reactive clear up of body spills and deep cleans.
- Inspect/repair/clean floors, walls, ceilings and roofs.
- Inspect/repair/clean free standing and fitted furniture.
- Inspect/repair/clean drainage and gully systems.
- Inspect/replace luminaries.
- Inspect/repair/clean doors (Inc. Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture.
- Painting, re‑decorating and hanging of pictures/signed/notices.
- Assist engineering and cleaning staff in a wide range of duties as required.
- Carry out Ad‑Hoc activities supporting Equans and Client team including Moves/Changes.
For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

- Handyman experience
- Cleaning experience
- Demonstrable experience in cleaning, painting, plumbing or flooring in a construction, repair or maintenance environment
- Understanding of Legionella control techniques e.g. tap flushing
