To work as a Band 6 Physiotherapist in our busy musculoskeletal department within the Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust, along with the opportunity to take part in the hydrotherapy department pool rotation.
Key roles within the post:
- The assessment, treatment and management of patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions referred to the outpatients Physiotherapy Service from clinics, wards, general practice, other qualified health professionals and self-referrals.
- To be delegated the opportunity to learn about other clinical specialities within the outpatient setting as service requires (e.g. hand therapy, chronic pain, women's and men's health, paediatrics, vestibular, virtual fracture clinic and fracture clinic)
- To ensure communication and liaison with clinical teams and community services involved in the care of patients to maximise rehabilitation potential.
- To support the department's extended working hours and future 7 day service plans.
- Participation in the orthopaedic on call out of hours rota for the treatment and management of patients.
- To maintain a high standard of care and clinical practice through liaison with those working in the team and to maintain close working relationships with other senior and APP physiotherapists to facilitate integrated rehabilitation programmes, especially when patients move across professional and organisational boundaries.
We are looking for a Physiotherapist with excellent communication skills to join the Physiotherapy team at Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust. You will be based at Darent Valley Hospital working in our busy musculoskeletal outpatient department assessing and treating patients from self-referrals, Consultants and GPs. There is the opportunity to rotate into our hydrotherapy service.
A professional attitude is essential along with the skills to work in a busy acute setting. The post is for a qualified Physiotherapist.

Essential experience required:
- Significant post-graduate clinical experience to include participation in audit or other evidence based clinical practice activity.
- Experience of working as a Band 5 Physiotherapist.
- Evidence of participation in In-service training.
- HCPC registration and CSP membership.

- With qualified physiotherapy staff, physiotherapy assistants and students on clinical placement to support team working on a day-to-day basis.
- With medical, nursing, paramedical, and other hospital staff to promote a coordinated approach to patient care and multi-disciplinary team working in the preparation and implementation of treatment/care policies, procedure and carepathways.
