Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

Our client is a PE‑backed specialist service provider in an ever‑growing industry who are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team. The purpose of this role is to support the Finance Director and the rest of the team with core finance activities.

• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
• Support the monthly and year‑end closing process
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of transactions
• Assist in preparation of management accounts and financial reports
• Process intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Reconcile bank accounts and support treasury processes
• Work closely with the AP/AR teams to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of queries
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors as required
• Assist with VAT returns, tax compliance, and other regulatory filings

• Part‑qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience in accounting role in service or construction‑related business
• Experience working in fast‑paced environments
• Strong understanding of accounting
• Organised, diligent and a great attention to detail
