Tiling Instructor

Able Skills are currently seeking an experienced tiling instructor to join their on‑site team in Dartford.

Full‑time prompt to deliver high‑quality tiling training to fee‑paying adult students. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting hands‑on practical demonstrations, supervising student work, assessing progression, providing feedback and maintaining a safe learning environment. The instructor will also assist in developing course materials and stay current with industry trends.

• Deliver engaging, practical tiling lessons.
• Prepare and present lesson plans.
• Supervise students during practical work.
• Assess student progress and offer personalised feedback.
• Maintain a safe, professional training environment.
• Help develop and update course materials.

• Level 2/3 in Wall and Floor Tiling (preferred).
• Possession or willingness to obtain an Assessors Qualification (TAQA, A1, D32, D33, D34).
• Experience working within the tiling industry (essential).
• Teaching experience is beneficial.

• Extensive experience in tiling and knowledge of various techniques and materials.
• Teaching or training experience with clear communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support a diverse student group.
• Ability to assess work and provide constructive feedback.
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Relevant tiling certifications or industry qualifications; teaching certifications are a plus.
• Experience with construction‑related training programs or standards is beneficial.
