Overview
A Kent-based residential housing developer is seeking a self-motivated CAD Technician or Architectural Technologist to join its technical team. The role is suited to an experienced professional with a strong background in UK residential developments, particularly house builder schemes, who can produce high-quality technical drawing packages and work collaboratively within an architectural and design environment.

32,4000 DOE
- Produce clear, accurate, and detailed technical working drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections, construction details, layouts, schedules, and legal and sales drawings
- Develop and coordinate 2D technical construction details to a high standard
- Ensure all drawings comply with current UK Building Regulations and planning requirements
- Liaise and coordinate with internal design teams, consultants, and third-party suppliers
- Provide technical support and information to departments and suppliers impacted by drawing packages
- Maintain and collate technical libraries, standards, product data, certifications, and test information
- Keep up to date with new technologies, materials, and legislative requirements
- Attend and contribute to design team meetings, workshops, and site meetings
- Several years of post-qualification experience within a UK architectural or residential housing environment
- Proven experience producing working drawing packages for residential housing developments
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and technical drawing production
- Sound understanding of current UK Building Regulations
- Construction-related degree or HNC/HND qualification
- Highly organised, methodical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident communicator with strong listening skills
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
