About the company:
A Kent-based residential housing developer is seeking a self-motivated CAD Technician or Architectural Technologist to join its technical team. The role is suited to an experienced professional with a strong background in UK residential developments, particularly house builder schemes, who can produce high-quality technical drawing packages and work collaboratively within an architectural and design environment.

Daily Duties
Produce clear, accurate, and detailed technical working drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections, construction details, layouts, schedules, and legal and sales drawings
Develop and coordinate 2D technical construction details to a high standard
Ensure all drawings comply with current UK Building Regulations and planning requirements
Liaise and coordinate with internal design teams, consultants, and third-party suppliers
Provide technical support and information to departments and suppliers impacted by drawing packages
Maintain and collate technical libraries, standards, product data, certifications, and test information
Keep up to date with new technologies, materials, and legislative requirements
Attend and contribute to design team meetings, workshops, and site meetings
Ideal Candidate
Over several years post-qualification experience within a UK architectural or residential housing environment
Proven experience producing working drawing packages for residential housing developments
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and technical drawing production
Sound understanding of current UK Building Regulations
Construction-related degree or HNC/HND qualification
Highly organised, methodical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident communicator with strong listening skills
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licence
