We are looking for candidate for a Field Application Engineer for the DACH role to be part of our dynamic team, helping deliver top-quality technical Customer Care & Sales Support mainly for service provider key accounts across the Network technologies: FTTH, FTTA, FTTC (active street cabinets), railways. The candidate shall be in Hamburg, Düsseldorf is preferred, other locations in the north-west region are possible.

HOW YOU'LL HELP US CONNECT THE WORLD:

This role involves providing technical customer care and sales support, primarily for key service provider accounts across a range of network technologies, including FTTH, FTTA, FTTC (active street cabinets), and railway infrastructure. A strong emphasis is placed on building and maintaining customer relationships to support the specification of projects and solutions under the Comm Scope brand.
Key responsibilities include the development of new business concepts and the implementation of network architecture designs tailored to the specific needs of key accounts. The role also focuses on promoting and deploying Comm Scope’s preferred product solutions, encompassing a variety of related activities.

These activities include delivering technical sales presentations to both internal and external audiences, leading customer training sessions and hands-on workshops, and developing customized training materials. Participation in trade shows and product demonstrations is also a significant aspect, along with supporting field trials and guiding customers through the installation of fibre optic and copper products.

Acting as a liaison between internal departments, the role serves as the “voice of the customer,” contributing to the development of new products and solutions, assisting in the creation of specifications, and providing feedback to support portfolio development. It also involves gathering market intelligence on pricing, technology trends, and competitors, as well as offering field input on technology research and standardization.

Additional contributions include supporting marketing initiatives through article writing, customer testimonials, and organizing reference site visits. The role also plays a key part in regional quality management, coordinating efforts between the quality department, product line management, and the customer to ensure high standards are upheld.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• Communications Electronic Engineer, Electrician or Telecommunications Technician

• Min. 5 years’ experience within the telecommunications industry.

• Good commercial awareness

• German is mandatory, good English skills are necessary.

• Possibility of 60-90 days of travelling within Europe

• Willingness and understanding that, in some instances, long working hours on site may be required.

• Experienced user of MS-Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint Excel, Visio)

YOU WILL EXCITE US IF YOU HAVE:

• European languages, e.g. French is an advantage

• Knowledge of Project Management is an advantage.
