Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:00
Pay Rate:
Paye rate £18.35 per hour, umbrella rate £23.32 per hour
Role Overview
Darlington Borough Council is seeking a qualified Electrician (Craft 1+) to carry out electrical work across a range of domestic and commercial properties. The role involves maintenance, installation, and testing of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical maintenance and installation work.
- Perform fire alarm and emergency lighting testing.
- Work across a variety of domestic and commercial buildings.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Qualified Electrician (relevant electrical qualifications required).
- Experience working in domestic and commercial environments.
- Knowledge of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
