HGV Technician – Darlington

Day & Night Shifts Available | 4 on 4 off | Up to £46,000

A well-established commercial vehicle fleet management company is looking for skilled HGV Technicians to join their team in Darlington. If you're passionate about mechanical and electrical repairs and enjoy being part of a team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role:

* Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs

* Ensure repairs are carried out to the highest quality and in line with repair orders

* Maintain a “right first-time” approach to reduce rework

* Work closely with the VMU Manager on parts and labour requirements for additional repairs

* Record time spent on repairs and report accurately

* Keep the workshop clean, safe, and fully functional

Requirements:

* NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (essential)

* Previous experience in a fleet or commercial vehicle environment

* Strong understanding of using IT systems to track and manage repairs

* Safety-conscious and committed to quality

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable:

* Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence

* Experience with tail lifts

Shifts & Pay:

* Day Shift – 4 on, 4 off:
Up to £19.92 p/h (up to £43,500 per year)

* Night Shift – 4 on, 4 off:
Up to £22.07 p/h (up to £46,000 per year)
