- Managing a portfolio of projects across the power and process sectors, delivering asset upgrade and maintenance works for a variety of blue chip clients.
- Managing 2-3 live client projects at various stages, supporting with both pre and post contract commercial duties depending on client needs.
- You will receive full support provided by the Managing Director who owns the client relationship and is responsible for setting up the initial contract. You will then be trained on which parts of the contract you can negotiate on.
- Understand and identify the client's key strategic requirements for assigned projects.
- Develop project-specific contracting strategies and vendor engagement plans.
- Work with procurement teams to assist in setting the prequalification process criteria.
- Negotiation of contract with subcontractors.
- Post contract commercial management, managing live project costs.
- Monitoring, variation management and payment of subcontract packages.
- Monthly cost and End Life Forecasting and reporting.
- 2+ years experience in a commercial or quantity surveying role.
- Solid working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts (client, consultancy, or contractor side).
- Experience managing live projects (ideally in utilities, infrastructure, or nuclear).
- Confident working directly with client stakeholders.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.
