New Chapter Tuition is seeking a passionate SEND Tutor to deliver high-quality 1:1 support to children and young people across Darlington. Responsibilities as a SEND Tutor:
As a SEND Tutor, you will provide tailored educational and developmental support to learners in Darlington, working in environments such as homes, libraries, learning hubs, or alternative provisions.
* Deliver 1:1, nurture-led tutoring as a SEND Tutor, supporting learners with additional needs
* Plan and adapt engaging sessions aligned to individual learning and care plans
* Build positive, trusting relationships that support emotional wellbeing and progress
* Monitor development and communicate effectively with families and professionals
Requirements as a SEND Tutor:
To succeed as a SEND Tutor, you will ideally bring experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs in Darlington or similar settings.
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEND within education or care settings
* Understanding of the UK curriculum with the ability to adapt learning flexibly
* A patient, empathetic, and reliable approach with strong communication skills
* Confidence planning and delivering personalised sessions as a SEND Tutor
