Senior Highway Design Manager

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and reviewing plan sets, quantity estimates, and reports
• Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with IDOT and local agency standards
• Mentoring project staff
• Maintaining project budgets and schedules
• Preforming QA/QC tasks
• Hybrid work, 3 days in Darien office required
• Participating in business development opportunities, including writing technical proposals, scopes of work, and developing fee estimates

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois
• Minimum of 10+ years of related design and Project Management experience
• Proven ability to lead successful teams, internally and externally
• Proven ability to build effective business relationships
• Established and positive industry reputation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Micro Station, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
