Controller, Accounting, Cost Accountant

Well‑established specialized manufacturing company has a new permanent opportunity for a Controller.
The company is privately held, has been in existence for 50+ years and continues to grow through R&D, new products, increased market share with long term high profile customers.
Reporting to the CFO, the Controller leads the accounting group, including cost accounting, reporting, and helps refine financial processes. The role is a hands‑on leadership position, seeking strong experience in cost accounting, inventory management, ERP systems and working cross‑functionally with plant personnel.

Approximately $120,000-$140,000 + Bonus, based on experience.

• Hands on leading the daily accounting functions
• Lead cost accounting activities, standard costing, variance, trend and margin analysis
• Inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy, controls, and reporting
• ME/YE close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Work with plant, production, supply chain, sales, and leadership teams
• Assist with systems improvements, transition to MS Dynamics, including process mapping, testing, data validation, and system optimization
• Evaluate accounting policies, procedures, and reporting tools
• Assist CFO with preparing financial reports for senior leadership, BOD, etc.
• Assist with M&A activities, integrations

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Expertise in cost accounting and inventory management
• Extensive manufacturing industry experience
• ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
• GAAP, internal controls, and operational accounting best practices
