HOURS:

8 hours per day, hours depending on school hours

COMPENSATION: $19.23/hr.

GENERAL

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working under the supervision of the Director of Security and School Principal, the Campus Monitor Substitute will help maintain a safe and secure building for the students, faculty, and staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Supervise the flow of traffic in and out of the building

* Monitor the "buzzer" entry system for visitors and maintain accurate logs of visitors

* Sign in visitors, prepare appropriate badges, and escort visitors as needed

* Conduct periodic monitoring sweeps throughout and around the building to check locks, doors, etc.

* Monitor the school building and parking lots

REQUIREMENTS:

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

* Strong work ethic and organizational skills

* Interpersonal skills necessary to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community

* Computer literate

* Ability to operate a 2-way radio

* Some experience in the safety and security field preferred
