Position Details:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Neurology
Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128
Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,000 for part-time and full-time caregivers
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of licensed prescribers or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates patient care with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

- Provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision or direction of appropriately licensed personnel
- Coordinate with other departments to support patient care
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
- Adhere to Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in Missouri and compliance with all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Comparable education/experience and licensure may be considered
- New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
- LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)
- Frequent standing and walking during shift
- Significant bending, stooping, and patient handling with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
