12 hours shifts, 7p-7a

Our community is growing and thriving. To better serve our communities, growth SOVAH Danville Emergency Department is currently under a complete renovation to better serve our patients. The new Emergency Department will be a 31‑bed unit with a 4:1 ratio for acute patients, with designated behavioral health safe rooms. Our Emergency Department provides care to patients across the lifespan for all medical emergencies.

We are a designated Chest Pain Center & Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center.

We are an academic teaching site for residents, medical students, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and physician assistants. • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Applicants should have a current VA RN license

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• Experience in acute care hospital, preferred
• American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) required, or within six (6) months of hire
• Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred
