Registered Nurse (RN), Vascular Access
Fulltime:
Days – Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (no call, no weekends)
Sovah Danville is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Registered Nurse joining our Vascular Access team, you will insert, troubleshoot, and assess vascular access devices such as PICC lines, midlines, and ultrasound‑guided peripheral IVs. You will coordinate with physicians and nurses to ensure appropriate access based on clinical indications and best practice. This position is a critically important role in providing exceptional care.
Responsibilities- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments
Applicants must have a current VA RN license.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Previous experience highly preferred.
Experience & Certifications- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Successful completion of PICC insertion program
- Minimum of 6 months PICC insertion experience
