Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience (3-5 years preferred)

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be obtained prior to start)

• Consent to random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form

• Must reside 60 miles or more from Danville, VA, to qualify as a travel nurse
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department

• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and emergency interventions for a diverse patient population

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record

• Participate in hospital orientation and ongoing professional development for nurses
