Available Shifts: Full-time & part-time for all 3 shifts

Registered Medication Associate (RMA) Role

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of coursework and examinations for certification as a Resident Care Associate
  • Maintain certification through continuing education credits as required by the state
  • Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques
  • CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain
  • Understanding of resident confidentiality
  • Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
  • Compassion and genuine concern for seniors
  • Proficiency in basic office equipment and computers

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in monitoring and delivering medication safely
  • Follow policies and procedures for medication administration
  • Accurately record medication administration
  • Observe and report medication effects and adverse reactions
  • Store medications securely
  • Ensure accountability for medications
  • Document updates and concerns
  • Handle controlled substances safely
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Record vital signs as needed
  • Manage medication inventories and reorders
  • Follow infection control practices
  • Communicate effectively with residents and staff
  • Support residents and maintain a positive environment
  • Participate in training and act as shift supervisor when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical/Sensory Requirements

The RMA must be able to lift 50-75 pounds, assist residents, work flexible hours, and move continuously during shifts. This role involves exposure to COVID-19 as it provides direct care to residents.
