Overview
The Center for Early Success (CES) is seeking a Senior Director of Early Intervention Strategy to lead the implementation of a regional early intervention (EI) planning and systems-building initiative serving Danville and Pittsylvania County. This senior leadership role operates within a shared leadership model in close partnership with the Executive Director. The Senior Director provides operational leadership and systems expertise, while the Executive Director provides strategic direction and external relationship support.
Together, they will guide the design, pilot, and positioning for scale of a coordinated, equitable, and data-driven early intervention system that improves access and outcomes for young children and families.
- Lead day-to-day implementation of all grant and project activities, including planning, pilot implementation, and sustainability phases
- Oversee development of a centralized early intervention referral and navigation system
- Convene and facilitate cross-sector partners and advisory groups, including the Southside Developmental Network
- Build and maintain strong relationships with early intervention, education, healthcare, and community partners
- Guide outreach, early identification, and public awareness strategies
- Use data to support planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to funding strategy, sustainability planning, and grant development
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred. - 7–10 years of experience in early childhood systems, early intervention, healthcare, education, or human services
- Experience managing complex, multi-partner initiatives or grants
- Strong knowledge of early intervention systems (Part C and Part
B) - Proven ability to facilitate collaborative, cross-sector work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Help Me Grow or similar centralized access models
- Familiarity with Medicaid and public-sector funding streams
- Experience working in rural or underserved communities
- Background in data-informed planning or continuous quality improvement
