The primary purpose of your job is to return patients to optimal physical function and facilitate achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals. You will follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintain standards set by the community’s administration as well as Policies and Procedures.
Education & Responsibilities:- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Hold a current and valid license from the state of employment.
- Screen and evaluate residents to determine the need for Occupational Therapy.
- Establish individualized treatment programs with consultation to facility staff.
- Provide evaluation results and treatment objectives to caregivers, family, and residents.
- Complete all documentation as required within the designated time frame.
- Implement and monitor the treatment program, adjusting as necessary.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Aides.
- Previous experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
