How you'll contribute
A Sleep Technician who excels in this role:
* Prepares for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test.
* Interviews patients to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
* Performs testing and any additional testing required for the sleep disorder that is noted.
* Scores, interprets, and reports results of sleep studies.
* Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a program in Polysomnography (or equivalent experience as a Polysomnographic Technician)
Additional requirements include:
* Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
* Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
* Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT).
