Co-Response Crisis Clinician
Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinician - Telehealth
Location: Danville, VA
ResponsibilitiesProvides compassionate and effective mental health crisis intervention for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric distress; works in partnership with local law enforcement to deliver a co-response system of care for individuals in the community with a behavioral health crisis by assessing the immediate needs of the individual, ensuring their safety, and connecting them with appropriate resources and support; responsible for collaborating with Crisis Services, law enforcement agencies, community partners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a crisis intervention plan, while upholding the principles of respect, confidentiality, and empathy in all interactions;
adheres to guidelines or regulations established by Virginia Statute and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services; works as part of a team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and function optimally in the community.

- Masters degree (60 credit hours or more) in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Services that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia.
- At least three years of experience providing behavioral health, crisis level services and/or services to individuals with serious mental illness.
- Experience providing mental health or substance use services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families.
- Documented crisis intervention experience within the past five years.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
Salary & BenefitsAnnual Salary Range: $51,821 - $90,687
15% Increase for Licensure; 7% Increase for Resident/Supervisee;
Co-Response Differential: $3.00/hour.
