Overview
The City of Danville Aquatics Center is seeking friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Cashiers.
As the first point of contact for visitors, the Cashier plays an essential role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Responsibilities include checking in visitors, processing payments, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.

Wage / Salary$16 per hour
Duties / Responsibilities- Greet customers as they arrive, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Check-in guests with the center's registration system.
- Process payments for pool admissions, memberships, rentals, and other services.
- Maintain accuracy in cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipts.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about center services, hours, and policies.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area at the front desk.
- Resolve customer concerns or direct them to appropriate personnel for assistance.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.
- Follow all safety and operational procedures as outlined by the Aquatic Center.

QualificationsMust be 18 years old.
High School diploma or G.E.D. Certificate required.
Previous customer service experience is preferred.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Effective communication and people skills.
- Strong commitment to teamwork.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve customer issues professionally.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

BenefitsIn accordance with Paid Leave for All Workers Act (PLAWA), part-time, seasonal, auxiliary and temporary (not hired through a temporary employment agency) employees will earn one (1) hour of paid leave for every forty (40) hours worked in a 12-month period, up to a maximum of forty (40) hours of paid leave in a 12-month period.
