In this position, you will oversee the administrative management of psychological services at Danville State Hospital. Your primary responsibility will be to lead, strategize, and coordinate the comprehensive psychology program within the facility. This includes the development and implementation of psychological services and the supervision of staff involved in these services, ensuring effective general and direct oversight. You will foster a collaborative environment that promotes high standards of psychological care while addressing the diverse needs of the patient population.

• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years as a Licensed Psychologist, MH or a Psychologist, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
• Two years of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual disability, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

Special Requirements:

• Possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or licensure from another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Pennsylvania licensure must be obtained within one year of employment.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
