JOB SUMMARYThe Mental Health Professional – Team Lead reports to the Program Director and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible to perform duties as assigned by the Program/Clinic Director in the areas of program procedures, personnel management, evaluation and clinical services.
- Employees shall follow the reporting requirements for incidents of Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Adult Abuse, Dependent Adult Abuse, and Tarasoff warnings per California reporting laws.
- Attend, facilitate, and participate in staff meetings and on-site staff training.
- Provide supervision and training to all staff members assigned to the team.
- Monitor and track service provision to consumers who have accessed services.
- Ensure high-risk cases are monitored until stabilized, whether new cases or in conjunction with cases already assigned to other teams.
- Monitor adherence to and train staff in the areas of data input and workflow as it relates to the use of an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Maintain good relationships with clients, co-workers, government representatives and any other individual with whom the Agency is transacting business, and relate to them in a professional manner.
- Assist in reviewing case files to assure compliance with State and Federal government policies, procedures and rules (EPSDT compliance).
- Prepare reports and correspondence as required.
- Utilize applied principals of critical incident management.
- Co-lead and facilitate quarterly all-access meetings in coordination with the other clinics.
- Train staff in the use of Targeted Case Management services and principals.
- Work with Program Director or designee and HR to address any employee-related matters.
- Maintain a safe work environment for staff and clients.
- Will drive on Agency business as needed.
- Will think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
- Physical presence at the program is required.
- Employees are expected to manage their cell phone use so that the Agency cell phone stipend covers all business usage. Any calls not covered by the stipend are to be made on a company landline phone.
- Ensure direct report staff follow the agency’s timecard, PTO (Paid Time Off), and California’s rest and meal period policies. Will monitor staff timesheets to ensure they are completed accurately.
- Licensed:
Licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker or Marriage Family Child Therapist with at least two (2) years' post-licensure experience. - Hours Completed: A Master’s degree in behavioral science with a current associate registration (M.F.T. or L.C.S.W.) and hours completed.
- Unlicensed: A Master’s degree in behavioral science with current associate registration (M.F.T. or L.C.S.W.).
- Must be registered with Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
- Ability to provide direct mental health services to individuals, families, and/or groups.
- Provide administrative oversight of licensed or unlicensed mental health providers including in the areas of case management, treatment planning, coordinated care, etc. in accordance to standards set by Program Director.
- Provide effective communication and oversight to a team of clinical providers (up to 10), that consistently meets Agency mission statement and program objectives.
- Knowledge of and adherence to record keeping procedures related to physical health information, confidentiality, privacy and security in accordance the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Eligible to provide clinical supervision.
