We’re partnering with an excellent school district in Fayette County, PA to hire a dedicated School Social Worker for the remainder of the school year.
In this role, you will help remove barriers to learning by providing students and families with social-emotional support, crisis intervention, and access to community resources. This role strengthens the school-home connection and promotes a safe, supportive learning environment.

30 hours per week - Grade Levels:
Elementary School, K-5 - School Year: 2025/2026
- Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students individually and in small groups
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support academic and behavioral success
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide immediate support to students in distress
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans when appropriate
- Coordinate with community agencies to connect families with external services
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and student support planning
- Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and required reporting
- Promote positive school climate and support initiatives that foster student well-being
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Valid Pennsylvania school social work certification or eligibility (as required by district)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong knowledge of social-emotional development, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school teams, families, and community resources
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
