Job Summary

The Pediatric Gastroenterology Division of the Janet Weis Children's Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center has an opening for a 7th full-time Pediatric Gastroenterologist. Our collegial group is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to children in central and northeast Pennsylvania. Janet Weis Children's Hospital is the tertiary care Pediatric Center for Geisinger Health System and is nationally recognized for its innovative healthcare approaches.

It is one of only five Improve Care Now  centers in Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will engage in clinical practice, teaching pediatric residents and medical students, and have opportunities for research. Geisinger offers an innovative educational environment through the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, PA.

Job Duties

• Schedule:
  
  M-F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Pediatric GI Hospitalist provides 24 weeks call coverage annually
• Call shared equally among a 6-physician group
• Assist with Epic In Basket management
• AI dictation available
• Telemedicine services available
• Manage a 41-bed NICU and 14-bed PICU
• Collaborate with pediatric psychologist and nutritional support team
• Affiliated with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.

Experience & Certification

Licensed Medical Doctor in Pennsylvania.
