Job Title:
Quality Control Technician
Reports to:
Keithyn Guerrero, Quality Manager
Pay Range: $24 - $30/hr.
Purpose:
To ensure products and services meet established standards of quality, safety, and reliability. Plays a crucial role in maintaining quality control policies and procedures and collaborating with other teams to address quality issues.
- Inspecting and testing products or services at various stages of production, using tools like calipers, gauges, micrometers, and electronic inspection equipment.
- Ensuring products meet specified quality standards, performance criteria, and regulatory requirements.
- Identifying and documenting defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and reporting them to the relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with quality control policies and procedures.
- Collecting and analyzing data related to quality control, identifying trends, and suggesting improvements.
- Collaborating with production teams and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Creating and maintaining records of inspection and test results.
- Participating in the development and implementation of quality control training programs.
- May include reading blueprints and specifications, monitoring production operations, recommending adjustments to the production process, accepting or rejecting finished items removing products that fail to meet specifications, maintaining and testing instruments and equipment, conducting audits and investigations, advising on process improvements, and advising on process improvements.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and willingness to comply with safety policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of caliper, gauge, micrometer, and electronic inspection equipment use.
- Ability to listen effectively and follow directions accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks at once.
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Junior technicians:
Focus on routine checks and learning procedures. - Senior technicians and leads:
Oversee complex inspections, mentor teams, and contribute to process improvements. - Supervisors and Managers:
Manage teams, ensure compliance, and drive quality initiatives. - HS diploma and/or GED.
- 8-hour workdays (7am-4pm) with one hour lunch break; unless otherwise directed due to extreme elements
- Opportunity for seasonal Overtime and Weekend work
- Exposure to weather conditions, heat/cold
