The Store Manager has ultimate responsibility for the overall business performance of the assigned store. This position manages day‑to‑day operations and maintains the highest levels of retail standards at all times. The Manager is accountable for implementing new concepts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, effectively utilizing resources to maximize sales and profit, and meeting or exceeding company financials and operating goals.

• Provide customers with a remarkable shopping experience by demonstrating, training, and holding store associates accountable for excellent customer service.
• Drive improvement of the overall customer experience and quality of processes, products, and services to increase sales.
• Develop and maintain a customer‑focused organization by modeling and communicating associate and customer connection behaviors.
• Achieve total store financials (sales, profit and loss, projections, metrics, and analysis) by identifying, defining, and implementing best store practices and optimization strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports with a focus on accountability and business performance outcomes.
• Oversee total store conditions (safety, food safety, protection of company assets) and ensure all compliance programs are met.
• Utilize resources to improve productivity, flexibility, and efficiencies of labor and the shopping experience.
• Represent the store as the primary link to Lucky leadership teams; ensure effective implementation of business plans.
• Act as company ambassador to build store image through community involvement.
• Act as Quality Workplace leader by working collaboratively with the management team and associates to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and retain employees.
• Oversee overall inventory/ordering process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Excellent leadership, team‑building, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, customer service, coaching/mentoring, training, decision‑making, delegation, negotiation, organization, administration, and financial skills.
• Knowledge of store operations (including compliance), store financials, hazardous materials and food safety rules, inventory management, employment law, union contractual agreements, interviewing techniques, and hiring practices.

Four‑year college degree or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience.

Five years of management experience with a minimum one year as Assistant Store Manager.

Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours.

Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis; requires lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
