Danbury - Radon Installation Technician

Overview

The Radon Mitigation Technician at SWAT Environmental is responsible for the installation and service of radon mitigation systems. SWAT is looking for self-motivated individuals with a great attitude and a desire to be part of a growing company with a winning culture. The position requires the ability to work independently, as well as strong customer service, problem-solving, and time management skills.

• Inspect homes and work with customers to determine the most effective placement of radon mitigation systems.
• Install radon mitigation systems by drilling holes, cutting and running PVC pipes, installing fans, and sealing holes.

We are seeking candidates who have previous experience in areas such as a Cable Technician, Maintenance Technician, Plumber, HVAC Technician, Electrician, Handyman, Apprentices, Construction Laborers, Roofers, Carpenters, and those that are good with ladders, customer service, and looking for a career that enhances your skill sets.

• 1+ years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades, or apprenticeship is preferred. (different for Iowa postings)
• Lift and carry a 60-pound ladder.
• Work on ladders at 40 feet or higher.
• Work in confined spaces (ability to turn, twist, bend, stoop, reach).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Operate drill, hole-saw, coring drills, and other hand tools safely.
• Acquire and maintain required certifications.
• Use technology (mobile phones, tablets, laptops).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
