Assistant Store Manager – Danbury Fair Mall (Aeropostale) Overview

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in building a high‑performing team thataggable delivers an amazing customer experience. You will share responsibility for executing all store operations, maintaining a visually appealing environment, and creating a positive culture that engages managers, associates, and customers daily. Your energy and enthusiasm will help sustain a winning team atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop action plans that drive results and business growth.
  • Utilize product knowledge and selling skills to maximize sales.
  • Engage customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
  • Mentor team members to create a great customer experience.
  • Own assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with merchandising and operational standards.
  • Monitor all business aspects and share improvement ideas.
  • Maintain composure during challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Handle POS transactions during designated shifts and execute management duties in the Store Manager’s absence.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a volume‑driven apparel environment (preferred).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
  • Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
  • Open to occasional travel to other store locations if required.
