The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business is a trusted provider of innovative naval gas and hybrid power systems, control technology and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and navies around the world.

The Test Technician will deliver technical support to engineering teams involving moderately complex components, devices, materials, products, processes, and equipment.

• Test, inspect, modify, rework, and repair electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies, including prototypes and production units
• Interpret and work from moderately complex drawings, schematics, specifications, SOPs, and safety documentation
• Perform standard and industry-specific testing, troubleshoot failures down to the component level, and ensure units meet quality control requirements
• Operate with minimal supervision; coordinate multiple activities, reprioritize as needed, and provide guidance or training to other technicians
• Support related manufacturing processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient information and material flow
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable certifications
• Track and meet key performance indicators, including production deadlines, quality metrics, material levels, and compliance outcomes

• High school diploma required; additional education or training in electronics or a related technical field preferred.
• Experience handling small, delicate components while adhering to proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control practices.
• Soldering and wire bonding experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to safely handle and work with chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Proficiency in the use of various computer applications.
• Experience working with MRP systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position may require an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
