Jr. Associate – US Recruitment @ Pride Now | Multiple Accounts About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrician to join our client’s production facility in Danbury, Connecticut. This role works with minimal supervision and is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of production electrical systems, instrumentation, and control equipment.
You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and third‑party contractors to support manufacturing systems, improve processes, and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance. This position requires strong hands‑on expertise with industrial electrical and control systems and the ability to independently manage complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Design, select, install, and maintain production instrumentation, electrical wiring, and control equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair complex systems, including ATS, PLCs, communication networks, motor starters, VFDs, and electromechanical systems
- Test, repair, calibrate, and modify electronic, vacuum, mechanical, and chemical production equipment
- Support Engineering with the design, build, testing, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and systems
- Apply NEC
500 and NFPA 70 codes to evaluate existing systems and new electrical designs - Install factory wiring in general duty and classified (C1 D2) environments
- Create redline “as‑built” documentation and develop prototypes for process improvements
- Maintain and support electrical and mechanical systems including pumps, boilers, heaters, and HVAC equipment
- Monitor equipment performance, identify malfunctions, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain spare parts inventory, order materials, and support critical spares management
- Ensure compliance with Lock Out / Tag Out, Hot Work, and all environmental and safety policies
- Attend Engineering meetings to support equipment updates, installations, and future planning
- Operate fabrication tools such as conduit benders, drills, and threading machines as needed
- Perform additional job‑related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 10+ years of hands‑on electrical experience in an industrial or production environment
- E2 electrical license strongly preferred (not required)
- Technical degree or certification in Instrumentation, Controls Systems, or related field may substitute for experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC drawings, and power distribution diagrams
- In‑depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and hazardous location requirements
- Experience using calibration tools and vendor‑supplied calibration software
- Knowledge of HVAC maintenance and repair is a plus
- Ability to install conduit, properly size wiring, and install factory electrical components (plugs, switches, lights, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with hand and power tools applicable to the electrical trade
