Physician Assistant Hospitalist - Nights; potential

Danbury Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time Night Physician Assistant Hospitalist to work variable night shifts (8 PM – 8 AM) at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT.

Work in a collegial environment with experienced physicians and physician assistants in a community hospital located about 80 miles from NYC. You will work independently and alongside physicians in Hospitalist Medicine. The position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, paid time off, CME allowance and time off, and a $10K hiring bonus.

Under the supervision of a physician, provide primary medical care to patients to assist in their recovery from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.

• Bachelor’s degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) school.
• CT State PA license, DEA/State of CT controlled substance.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• ACLS & BLS certification.
• Must maintain 50 CME's over two years.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred: prior PA Hospitalist experience but new grads with inpatient Internal Medicine experience are encouraged to apply.
• Able to work variable block night schedule, 8 PM – 8 AM (12‑hour shifts) about 14 shifts per month (including 2 weekends/month).

• Salary Range: $120 – $140 k annually, commensurate with experience.

• Section 501(c)(3) tax‑exempt status may permit forgiveness of certain federal student loans under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
