Patient Services Transporter – Nuvance Health

Join our team to help patients move safely between transport, labs, and hospital floors. This role requires flexibility and a caring attitude toward all patients.

Must be available to work both day and evening shifts, including every other weekend.

High School Diploma required. (High School Diploma or GED accepted).

Summary

The Transporter brings patients to and from their designated testing centers, delivers equipment to nursing floors, and handles blood products or sterile supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Transport designated in‑patients and out‑patients.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Participate in setting and attaining department goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Use effective communication with patients, families, visitors, medical staff, and hospital personnel.
  • Keep current on job‑related duties through required education and staff meetings.
  • Formulate and use effective working relationships with all health‑care staff and patients.
  • Assertively seek guidance and direction as needed.
  • Provide coverage for Code 99’s.
  • Serve as dispatcher as needed.
  • Apply basic trapeze set‑ups and retrieve equipment for other traction sets.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must understand and speak conversational English and possess listening and comprehension skills.
  • Must be able to work with young, elderly, sick, and physically challenged people.
  • Minimum experience:

    six months.
