Travel Pathologist Assistant – Danbury, CT

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7.5 hours
Shift Times: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
On Call: No

Role Overview:
Assist pathologists with specimen processing, gross description, and preparation of tissue for analysis. Perform special procedures, obtain biological specimens, and document findings through photography.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure appropriate specimen accessioning and obtain clinical history

• Assist with gross description, dissect surgical specimens, and prepare tissue for processing

• Assist pathologists in frozen section preparation and procurement of FNA specimens

• Obtain biological specimens for analysis and perform special procedures

• Photograph pertinent gross specimens and microscopic slides

Required:

• Postgraduate training from an NAACLS-approved program or equivalent

• 2+ years of Pathologist Assistant experience
