CT Technologist: $10K Sign-On Bonus!

Join Akumin® as a CT Technologist. This position offers a competitive pay range starting at $50 per hour and a $10,000 sign‑on bonus. Full‑time, part‑time, and per diem opportunities are available.

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high‑quality CT studies. The role requires effective communication with radiologists and customers, and may involve training new technologists and patient coordinators.

• Ensure patient safety, including pre‑screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections, and use aseptic injection techniques.
• Produce high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators.
• Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.).

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience;
  Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologist with ARRT.
• State license. If state permits, certification by NMTCB in Computed Tomography is acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state Driver’s License for performing mid‑day moves, if applicable.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• COVID‑19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.

The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport if working on a mobile unit. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

• More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs; see, speak, and hear to communicate with patients.
• Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or exam.
