DescriptionMammography Technologist FT Monday - Friday between 7:00am-4:30pm
Sign-on Bonus: $20,000
Location:
Danbury Hospital Outpatient - great pay, perks, benefits. Career growth opportunities.
Performs mammography procedures to assist physicians in patient care and supports the hospital's quality care objectives.
Responsibilities- Greet patients, introduce self, and verify patient identification.
- Review patient's script to ensure correct exam.
- Explain procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Produce images and analyze images for radiologist interpretation.
- Assist radiologist with invasive procedures.
- Follow MQSA requirements.
- Perform daily QA tests on equipment.
- Manage computer system for orders and exam cancellations.
- Recall prior exam history as needed.
- Operate other modalities as required.
- Ensure compliance with all responsibilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
Minimum of 1 year. - Desired:
Experience in patient care within radiology; specialty certification preferred. - Credentials: ARRT Specialty, RAD.
- Manual dexterity required.
- Occupational risk involved.
- Physical effort: exert up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, etc.
Salary Range: $42 - $52.51 plus shift differentials.
