Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Vice President of Finance to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team. This finance leader will oversee key P&L and balance sheet cost drivers within the company’s ERP environment while supporting operational and commercial decision-making.
The role is highly cross-functional, working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and senior leadership to enhance margins, optimize working capital, strengthen internal controls, and support scalable growth across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with executive leadership to shape financial strategy, support pricing and investment decisions, and perform scenario modeling around demand and commodity volatility
- Lead manufacturing finance activities including standard costing, inventory valuation, and detailed variance analysis to drive plant-level profitability
- Own the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes while delivering clear variance analysis and actionable performance insights
- Serve as the primary finance business partner to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement to identify and execute cost savings initiatives
- Monitor and optimize working capital performance, including inventory turns and cash conversion cycle
- Strengthen GAAP compliance and enhance internal controls across inventory, production reporting, and the financial close process
- Oversee external audit and tax coordination in partnership with the outside CPA firm and ensure regulatory compliance for food manufacturing
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team focused on accountability and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
- 10–15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Demonstrated background in manufacturing finance within the food & beverage sector
- Hands‑on experience working within a manufacturing ERP environment
- Strong expertise in standard costing, inventory management, and margin analysis
- Experience in high-growth and/or private equity‑backed environments preferred
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- ERP proficiency (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
- Experience with business intelligence tools and KPI dashboard development
